Step-by-Step Guide: Replacing the Cartridge in Your Inflatable Life Jacket
In this video, we’ll walk you through the essential steps to safely and effectively replace the CO2 cartridge in your inflatable life jacket. Ensuring your life jacket is in optimal condition is crucial for safety on the water.
We start by explaining the importance of regular checks and maintenance for your inflatable life jacket to ensure it functions correctly in an emergency. You’ll learn how to identify signs that indicate it's time to replace the CO2 cartridge, such as expiration dates, punctures, or corrosion. You will then learn why it is important to have an anti-unscrewing device placed behind the cartridge and the relevance of having it sized to the dimensions of the cartridge. Detailed information about the mechanism of the inflation unit is provided and explained. Finally, a few words about the different types of inflatable life jackets and why sometimes you will don't want an automatic inflatable life jacket.
In this video, you will see the following steps:
1. Important function test over 24 hours of your life jacket.
2. Learn how to identify when your life jacket’s cartridge needs replacing.
3. How to inflate and deflate your life jacket manually.
4. Detailed instructions on removing and sizing the old and new cartridges.
5. Step-by-step guide on installing the new cartridge and ensuring it's secure.
6. Important safety checks to perform after replacement.

    Most examples I have seen and therefore all I have ever used involve washing soda rather than acetic acid. I would imagine an acidic solution may work quicker due to the fact that an acid can cause the iron to go into solution whereas a basic solution cannot. Then again I would imagine the basic solution may do better to preserve the most of the base material under the iron oxide and be safer for your part in restoration.

    One hour! If you had let the high concentration acetic acid do its work over 24-72hrs you would see a stark difference. Why not test straight 35% acetic acid(electrolyte) and electrolysis?

    Hold on now sir, I've been sewing almost 50 years, your making it harder than it is when it is basic common sense. You are trying to hide the thread twist of a very thick thread inbetween only 2 layers of a fabric weight that just is not thick enough to hide it. Drop down to a thinner thread that is appropriate for what you are sewing. If the thread used must be two different colors and certain parts of the project is only 2 layers of fabric no amount or adjustment will hide the twist, just switch the thread/needle to smaller gauge for those areas, the stitch is fine and well formed, its the fabric that is not thick enough to hide it. Its like your trying to force a big size 10 foot into a size 7 sandal, your toes will hang out the front and heel out the back of the sandal, no way around it, get the right shoe, same principle.

    • @Ken_Sweden
      @Ken_Sweden Місяць тому

      Good point about the choice of thread thickness, etc, but are you really saying that the thread tension setting is nonsense? There is no need to do anything about it because one can fix the issue of having the bottom thread showing on the top of the fabric by selecting a thicker fabric? I doubt the Japanese engineers constructing the Juki machines with adjustable thread tension share your views. However, I am happy you found a solution that works for you!

      Get some really thick artificial plastic leather, it will help you see it more clearly. Test the extremes on the settings and don’t hesitate on trying this because once you have tested the most extreme values, you then gradually narrow it down to the best setting. If this doesn’t work, you have and issue with the selected thread vs needle and need to test for a different fabric, needle + thread combination. As last resort you have a problematical machine, which is unlikely.

    Hello. If i can get a little help. My tumble dryer Bosch serie 4 has a Ph I label, and now the Ph 2 label has appeared. What is that? The machine dries well, all filters are cleaned. That mark appeared when my son pressed something while the machine was running. Anyone? 😊

    • @Ken_Sweden
      @Ken_Sweden 20 днів тому

      The “Ph I” and “Ph 2” labels on your Bosch Serie 4 tumble dryer typically indicate the phases of a drying program. They are not error codes but rather show the progression of the drying cycle. Ph I usually indicates the initial phase of the drying process, where the machine might be adjusting settings, sensing moisture levels, or beginning to heat up. Ph 2 indicates that the machine has moved to the second phase of the drying program. This phase could involve a different temperature setting or other adjustments based on the detected moisture level. Given that your son pressed something while the machine was running, it’s possible that the display changed due to a button press or the selection of a different program or setting. Here are a few steps to ensure everything is functioning correctly: 1. Check the Program Settings: Ensure that the correct drying program is selected. 2. Restart the Machine: Turn off the dryer, wait a few moments, and then turn it back on. This can reset any accidental changes. 3. Button Lock Feature: Some models have a child lock feature that prevents accidental changes to the settings. Check if this feature has been activated. If the machine is drying well and all filters are clean, it seems to be operating correctly.
